Our Mission
To empower individuals with invisible disabilities by dismantling stigma and creating a more inclusive and supportive society. We believe a challenge you cannot see should never be a challenge you face alone.
Our Progress →Our Mission
At Lead 4 Change, we advocate for the millions living with invisible disabilities. We believe that just because a challenge is unseen doesn't mean it should be ignored. By providing direct financial support to families and partnering with leading organizations to share powerful stories, we ensure that every individual is seen, heard, and supported.
Committee Chair
Hi! My name is Jennica Alixes and I serve as the Committee Chair for the LOHS Lead4Change team. I am currently a junior at Los Osos High School, and it is an absolute honor to be able to lead this wonderful group through our initiatives in making a change for our families and members that have invisible disabilities! After witnessing my family members and friends go through their own struggles with disabilities, our goal evolved into providing awareness, reducing the stigma, and contributing resources to individuals that need the most support. So far, we have hit key milestones within our timeline and we hope to continue this journey and bring substantial impacts to our communities. With the help of our partnership with EasterSeals, we have been connecting members with opportunities for certified treatments and therapies as well as inclusion. We cannot wait to see the future of this committee and we sincerely thank you for the support!
Public Relations
Hi, my name is Eshaal Ahmed, and I am working as one of the Public Relations for Lead 4 Change this year. I’m having an amazing time working in a team. I love spreading important messages through my passion for graphic design. My favorite post that I made is the 4-group collab, where Lead 4 Change and 3 other organizations teamed up for an online event discussing how music helps our brains. I also really enjoy drawing and making posters. Through Lead 4 Change, I was able to express my creativity in a way that would positively impact the community.
Videographer
Hi, I'm Saoirse, a high school junior and the videographer and photographer for the FBLA Lead4Change Committee. I edit interview videos, document events through photography, and record activity footage that I turn into engaging social media promotional videos. My work focuses on visual storytelling—transforming our activities and messages into content that highlights leadership, service, and real impact. Through video editing and media production, I help increase visibility and engagement for our initiatives. As a student leader, I use media not just to document what we do, but to amplify our mission and inspire change.
Website Developer
Hi! My name is Bethany Lee, and I’m one of the website developers for this year’s Lead 4 Change committee. I am a freshman at Los Osos High School with a strong interest in the medical field, and in my free time, I love baking, shopping, and spending time with my family. I was so excited to be a part of this journey in spreading awareness for invisible disabilities, especially because I have firsthand experienced navigating one. I understand how it feels to appear 'normal' while being heavily impacted in ways others may not see, which is why I chose Lead4Change to be a part of in advocating for those who feel invisible and help make things easier for them, just as I wish someone had done for me. Working with this team on our events has been an incredible experience, and I can’t wait to see how far we can take this positive impact in our community!
Event Coordinator
My name is Nikki Karimi, and during my time in Lead 4 Change, I focused on raising awareness about invisible disabilities and the challenges people face that often go unseen. Through this committee, I worked on promoting understanding, empathy, and inclusivity within my school community while developing leadership and communication skills. I really enjoyed being part of Lead 4 Change because it allowed me to advocate for something I’m passionate about and make a meaningful impact. I applied to this program because I care deeply about helping others, spreading awareness, and creating a more supportive environment for everyone, especially those whose struggles are not always visible. Being part of Lead 4 Change helped me grow as a leader and reinforced my passion for service and advocacy.
Event Coordinator
Hi! My name is Thomas Tran, and I serve as an event coordinator for the 2025–2026 Lead 4 Change Committee. I’m currently a junior at Los Osos High School with a strong interest in pursuing psychology and the medical field. In my free time, I enjoy working out, playing the piano, and skating. I applied to L4C because I wanted to learn more about how invisible disabilities can affect people who may appear "normal," often impacting them both physically and socially. Over the past year, I’ve worked with the team to develop engaging events that raise awareness for invisible disabilities. It’s been a blast so far, and I’m excited to see how we can continue making a positive impact in our community!
Public Relations
Hi! My name is Sally Namy and I'm one of the Lead 4 Change public relations officers! During my time in Lead 4 Change, I focused on creating initiatives that encourage empathy and support for students facing invisible challenges. One of my favorite experiences was collaborating with Easterseals for the Color Run at Angels Stadium, where we volunteered and cheered on participants, seeing everyone’s joy and determination was incredibly inspiring. Being part of this committee has allowed me to lead projects, engage the school community in meaningful conversations about inclusivity, and help build a culture where everyone feels seen and valued. I applied to this program because I want to continue making a positive impact, advocating for those whose struggles may not be obvious, and growing as a compassionate leader. Lead 4 Change has inspired me to use my voice and actions to support others and drive change in ways that truly matter.
Website Developer
Hello! My name is Yuanyun (Bella) Chen, and I’m one of the website developers for this year’s Lead 4 Change committee. I’m so grateful for the opportunity to work on our website and help bring our ideas to life in a way that feels meaningful. Being part of this team has been such a rewarding experience, especially knowing that the work we’re doing can make a real difference in our community. Outside of Lead 4 Change, I love art and graphic design. I’m always drawn to anything creative, whether it’s learning a new art style or developing my own. I’m really excited to continue growing with this team and help spread our message to more people!

"I have enjoyed having our students participate in Lead4Chance projects. It gives them an opportunity to look outside themselves into the community to see what big effect they might make to benefit the lives of others. Seeing them plan, organize, execute, and review the outcome brings great joy to me as their adviser, as they own the process and the results."
